Question: Hello doctor
My mum s left arm muscle has been paining for a while now. She my mum cannot lift her arm freely and if someone uses force to pull her arm the pain is excruciating and she cries in pain. Please advise what could be the issue. And which type of doctor could assist her.

My mum is a bit chubby.

She had been to 2 doctors and they only prescribed pain killers to her.

Brief Answer:
An MRI scan is required

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
It could be a musculoskeletal pain. Other conditions affecting shoulder joints like frozen shoulder and other conditions must be ruled out.
As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief.
You can consult an orthopaedic or physiatrist and get evaluated. An MRI scan is required for further assessment.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
